Bo La Motte farm was
purchased by the present owner in 1991.
Grapes dated to 1943 were removed from all fields.
The fields were deep plowed
and pressure compensated drip irrigation installed.
Thousands of cubic meters of
saw dust was added to the clay soil. Later, 1000's of cube's were again
blanketed over the rows. Not only did this add the needed organic
matter, but it served to keep hold of moisture in the ground, which was delivered
via inserted drippers.
