This book accompanied an exhibition held at the Durban Art Gallery during 2003. The contents therein are the property of the Standard Bank Collection of African Art, which is held at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.

The exhibition was first shown at the Albany museum in Grahamstown during the 2002 at the  National Arts Festival.

For those who like verbal, this is the book for you. In amongst the generous amount of color photographs can also be found the odd bit of very fun tribal art.
