'Ubuntu' is a poetic concept of
African origin. No
word in English can translate the richness of the images it conjures to its
people.
It refers to the concept of sharing and respect towards humanity. The
exhibition was important in that it revealed the traditional and historical
wealth of Southern Africa to the French and European public. A selection of 200 works from South African museums and private
collections, the exhibition was a discovery of traditional civilization
in South Africa including the Zulus, but also other less well-known cultures.
