Zulu Beadwork - Talk with Beads

HLENGIWE DUBE

In her book 'Zulu Beadwork – Talk with Beads', Hlengiwe Dube shares with you her expertise in the 'unspoken words' of traditional beadwork, design, bead color, color combinations and how together, different messages are created.

Hlengiwe is a Zulu raised in a traditional family. She has worked with the African Art Centre in Durban South Africa, for many years. She has a direct and personal relationship with Zulu beadwork. Stories were passed down by her mother and grandmother.

Zulu Beadwork - Talk with Beads - is illustrated throughout with beautiful colour photographs. Chapters on historical and regional trends are included. This is a 'must read' for anyone interested in learning about African beadwork from the people who created it. Click here to purchase the book direct from Hlengi in South Africa.
